Yoga Props Workshop -

The aim of the workshop is to enhance your knowledge of the use of props to better inform your practice and develop deeper self-understanding.
Nancy will explore some of the postures both with and without the use of various props such as blocks, bricks, belts and the wall. Through this exploration you will discover your own response to different methods, what works for you and why? She will guide you through the use of props in order to maintain the postures for longer without strain, therefore discovering new dimensions to your postures.
Nancy’s style is energetic and emphasises the fun and enjoyable approach to Iyengar yoga. This workshop is suitable for those who are new to workshops as well as those who are more experienced and wish to deepen their understanding.
Venue: Harringay Club, 50 Tottenham Lane, N8 7EE. Get there via Hornsey Railway Station (directly opposite) or buses: 41 (Archway, Crouch End, Turnpike Lane) or 91, W3, W7 & W5 to Crouch End plus a short walk. Sunday street parking is available.

Since 2006 the IYA requires all newly qualifying Iyengar yoga teachers to have a recognised first aid certificate and in future this will probably apply equally to all qualified yoga teachers. This invaluable course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive for first aid training.
Elaine Martin is an independent first aid trainer as well as being a qualified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.
No special equipment is needed but please bring a packed lunch.
While priority will be given to teachers and trainees, others will be welcome to attend, space permitting.
