Stephanie Quirk’s Remedial Workshops: Therapeutics and Yoga

Stephanie Quirk first devised these workshops in response to a teacher from Germany asking her to structure a course of study with therapeutics as the theme.

After some thought, Stephanie structured a course that would need 6 visits; numbered Level 1 to Level 6. Each level has to be completed before going on to the next level. Stephanie’s approach for learning is according to the layers of the self - or the kosas.

The underlying premise of the workshops is that all yoga teachers have a basic level of training and knowledge. The course involves understanding how this knowledge can be applied in specific situations.

Stephanie has said that her aim is not the handing out of a series of recipes for a theoretical person, but rather to give teachers an understanding of the skills they already possess and more background information.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no separate qualification known as “yoga therapist " that one may advertise oneself as.

Sept 29, 30, Oct 1, 2nd: Edinburgh EIYC / Level 2 – sold out with waiting list

Oct 7, 8, 9, 10th: Bristol Yogawest / Level 3

Please note – these courses are open to Junior Intermediate Level 1 and above qualified Iyengar Yoga teachers ONLY who are members of IYA (UK) and hold the current up to date certification mark.

Places are offered on a first come first served basis. 2007 is the last time you will be able to join a Level 1 workshop. You are not able to attend the Level 2 workshops before completing a Level 1 and so on.

You cannot book a level 2 and a level 3 within the same month.

Cancellations after booking cannot be refunded unless a replacement teacher is found to take your place. All cancellations will always be subject to a £5 administration fee.

Each workshop lasts for 4 days. You must complete all 4 days of the workshop if you wish to continue to the next level. Failure to do so could result in you forfeiting your place on a future course. No part day bookings are available.
