Conventions
 IYA
(UK) holds conventions every year with different guest teachers
from around the world. Its aim is to bring together as many
yoga practitioners as possible in to one place, so that the
bonds of the Iyengar community are strengthened, old friends
are met and new ones made and all can learn together.
IYA (UK) 2008 Annual Convention
The 2008 convention will take place at Northumbria University
in Newcastle upon Tyne from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June
2008.
Birjoo Mehta has been kind enough to agree to teach at the
Convention and needs little introduction to many of us in
the UK. Birjoo has been a student of Sri BKS Iyengar since
1975 and is now the managing trustee of the Light on Yoga
Research Trust, Mumbai.
